Refreshing a Fashion Store with Resin: A Practical Route to Reopening

For a fashion retailer, a floor refresh should make the store feel coherent while keeping the refurbishment programme realistic. Resin can be considered as part of a shop redesign, but the existing surface and required system determine the work involved.

Let the collection lead

Compare warm greige, cream and muted grey samples next to garments, display furniture and fitting-room lighting. A quiet floor can support changing seasonal collections. More expressive veining should be tested against the merchandising plan so it does not compete with products.

Inspect the existing floor

Do not assume resin can simply be poured over any tile or coating. Ask for an assessment of adhesion, moisture, joints, levels and damaged areas. Door clearances, thresholds, floor sockets and the movement of display fixtures should be included in the scope.

Make fast reopening a defined brief

State the last trading day, stock removal window, fit-out dates and intended reopening. Sika documents faster-curing technologies for selected systems, but a product cure time is only one part of the shop programme. Obtain separate conditions for foot traffic, furniture installation and full use.

Plan the shop after opening

Discuss wheel loads from rails and stock trolleys, protective furniture feet and a suitable cleaning routine. Include a sample approval and a handover checklist in the proposal. Send Resiluxo photographs, measured area, trading hours and a reference palette for an initial design review.
